Reading Time: < 1 minute

These days, either being cinephiles or not, most of us have been watching the FIFA world cup 2026 tournament.

If we would like, we may watch again a game or part of it, either in TV or in social media and other means of projection.

Back to 1970 I recall that it was the first time that I watched the FIFA World Cup games in TV. And at that time it was in black and white.

But there was no possibility to watch any game after it took place. No home video devices at that time!

And then FIFA decided to make an official documentary about the tournament. It was called The World at their Feet.
Alberto Isaac directed it.

The clips of the games were embedded in a plot, where a young boy admires the stars of the time. Pele was one of them.

It was magic when we had the opportunity to watch this film. It comprised all the important moments of the tournament and, on top of that, it was in colour!

You may watch the film in certain platforms.
