As it is very well known, The Beatles were an English rock band formed in Liverpool in 1960.

They are regarded as the most influential band of all time. Yet, they are not more popular than Jesus.

During the years of Beatlemania (1963-1966), they appeared in two films:
A Hard Day’s Night (1964) and
Help (1965)

Richard Lester directed both of them.

A Hard Day’s Night is the most iconic and was very well received by critics.

It is remarkable that the film presents the artists playing themselves while they go to London to participate in a TV show.

The Beatles (or their images as cartoons) starred also in three more films:

Magical Mystery Tour (1967)
Yellow Submarine (1968) and
Let it Be (1970).

A new film about the Beatles will be released in 2028. Sam Mendes will direct it.

The following scene is from A Hard Day’s Night. It is very characteristic for what the Beatles brought to the culture of the sixties.
