Kuala Lumpur

There are several tall buildings in the modern capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. However, three are among the most iconic ones:

  • Merdeka 118 (2023, 678.9 m)
  • Petronas Twin Towers (1998, 451.9 m)
  • Kuala Lumpur Tower (1996, 412 m).

Merdeka 118 is the newest building. It opened in 2023. Thus, naturally did not had the opportunity to appear in any movie so far.

However, the other two buildings do make appearances in various movies.

Petronas Twin Towers

As soon as Petronas Twin Towers were opened to the public they made their appearance, in the classic adventure Entrapment (1999, directed by Jon Amiel).

The movie has an excellent cast: the protagonists Sean Connery and Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Will PattonVing Rhames and Maury Chaykin
