The fame of Chuck Norris and other actors

Continuing our quest for the most famous actress/actor (see, e.g., here), in this post I explore the fame of four iconic actors:

• Harvey Keitel
• Jet Li
• Telly Savalas
• Chuck Norris.

And the most famous is…

The use of Ngram shows that Chuck Norris, the protagonist of many martial art action movies in the 1970s and 1980s, is more famous (6.5 famons) than the remaining three actors. Despite the fact that Chuck has inspired memes and jokes, his fame is only one third of that of Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Harvey Keitel, one of the protagonist of the classic action movie, among others, Reservoir Dogs, follows with 3.4 famons. Jet Li, the martial art protagonist of Romeo must Die and Kiss the Dragon, has a fame level of 2.8 famons.

Finally, the Greek Telly Savalas, the popular Lt. Theo Kojak on the crime drama series Kojak (1973–1978), has a fame of 1.4 famons.

The appearance of the names of the four actors in the books agrees with their chronological evolution of their acting career. In addition, their fame is less than 10 famons, as is true of most actresses/actors checked so far.
