In this post I update the earlier synopsis of the fame for 90 (as opposed to 78 in the earlier post) actresses and actors.

Their fame levels ranged from 0.8 famons, for Emma Stone, to 60 famons for Bob Dylan (figure 1).

Figure 1. Fame of 90 actresses and actors (vertical axis, fame in Famons). Fame was estimated using the Google Ngram tool.

The addition of 18 more actresses and actors did not change the general pattern of fame distribution. Most actresses/actors have fame levels between 0 and 10 famons and between 10 and 20 famons (figure 2).

Figure 2. Frequency distribution of the fame of 90 actresses/actors. The vertical axis shows the number of actresses/actors.

The Top30, i.e., actors/actresses having fame >30 famons, did not change (figure 1):

  • Bob Dylan
  • Elvis Presley
  • Marylin Monroe
  • John Wayne
  • Frank Sinatra
  • John Lennon
  • Woody Allen
  • Charlie Chaplin
  • Alfred Hitchcock
  • Orson Welles.

Stay tuned for more updates.
