In a previous post, I explored the fame of six actresses and compared it with that of other 72 actors/actresses.
Here
I explore the fame of eight more actresses, six of which have won an Oscar:
- Sandra Bullock
- Rachel Weisz
- Emily Blunt
- Demi Moore
- Kate Winslet
- Natalie Portman
- Gwyneth Paltrow
- Hilary Swank.
And the most famous so far is …
The use of Ngram shows that Demi Moore, the protagonist of the romantic thriller The Ghost, and Gwyneth Paltrow, the Oscar winner for the romantic drama Shakespeare in Love, are more famous (5.5 and 5.4 famons respectively) than the remaining six actresses.
They are followed by Kate Winslet, the protagonist of Titanic, and Sandra Bullock, the protagonist of the action thriller Speed, have 4.4 and 3.9 famons. Kate won an Oscar for the drama The Reader, and Sandra also won an Oscar for the drama The Blind Side.
Natalie Portman, the protagonist of the drama Black Swan, for which she won the Oscar, and Hilary Swank, the Oscar winner for the drama Million Dollar Baby, have fame of 2.8 and 2.3 famons.
Finally, Rachel Weisz, who won an Oscar for the supporting role in the thriller The Constant Gardener, and Emily Blunt, the protagonist of the thriller A Quiet Place, have fame of 1.3 and 0.7 famons, respectively.
All eight actresses have fame smaller than that of Julia Roberts (11.5 famons). The very low fame of Emily should be attributed to the fact that she is younger than the remaining seven actresses.
Stay tuned for more fame comparisons.
