Uncharted: the games

The Last of Us games and TV series is nicely complemented by the Uncharted genre.

Uncharted is an action-adventure game series developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It is about a treasure hunter, Nathan Drake, who travels the world for finding treasures.

The series includes four main games:

  • Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune (2007)
  • Uncharted 2: Among Thieves (2009)
  • Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception (2011) and 
  • Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End (2016).

     

     

     

     

     

    It also includes:

    • Uncharted: Golden Abyss (2011)
    • Uncharted: Fight for Fortune (2012)
    • Uncharted: The Lost Legacy (2017).

     

     

    The Uncharted series is available  for PlayStation (3, 4 and 5). The remasters of A Thief’s End andThe Lost Legacy are also available for Windows.

     

     

    All the games of the series are excellent, an absolute must play, especially when played on a large screen. The stories and the music are engaging. The game playing is superb. The whole experience is pure cinematic.

    The player controls Nathan who climbs everywhere, jumps from cliff to cliff and from building to building, shoots using a plethora of guns, fights, runs, drives cars, boats, planes, and visits new places continuously.

     

     

     

    Uncharted: the movie

    The great success of the games undoubtedly led to the development of the 2022 Uncharted movie. It was directed by Ruben Fleischer and star Mark Wahlberg, who plays Victor Sullivan, Tom Holland, who plays Nathan Drake, and Antonio Banderas.

     

     

     

     

    The movie itself was also successful, attaining an IMDB score of 6.3 from more than 260 000 viewers.

     

     

    The Uncharted games as well as the movie will offer more than 150 hours of real and intense entertainment.

    All of them deserve a key place in any home cinema library.
