It just happened to watch the Predator again, for the 10th, or so, time. What a movie.

John McTiernan directed this masterpiece. The direction is exemplary. The actors top of the line: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Carl Weathers, Bill Duke, Jesse Ventura, Sonny Landham. All the muscles of the Hollywood in one movie.

The plot keeps you on the edge of your seat. An extraterrestrial being (played by Kevin Peter Hall, who died in 1991) hunts down a team of commandos. The hunter can be invisible. But it bleeds. And if it bleeds it can be killed. And it is killed.

Predator cannot be compared with any of the recent superhero action movies. Predator, together with some other 1980s movies, are the definition of action movies.

It is a must in any cinephile library.
