Reading Time: < 1 minute

Last night I watched Guilty as Sin again. What a thriller.

I remember watching it for the first time in a San Francisco movie theater as soon as it was released. It was right after a meeting in Monterey Bay. In this trip I also met a superb painter, Sakhal.

Sidney Lumet directed this masterpiece. The actors, Rebecca De Mornay, Don Johnson and Stephen Lang, were all at their best.

The plot keeps you on the edge of your seat for 1 hour and 47 minutes. A female lawyer (De Mornay) agrees to defend a husband (Johnson) who is accused of killing his rich wife. She is entangled in his nets and in a series of lies. Eventually he cannot get away.

Guilty as Sin is an atmospheric thriller you can watch it again and again. A real diamond of the 1990s.

It is a must for any cinephile library.
