Daniel Pauly

Daniel Pauly is the most cited fisheries scientist of the world. He is known for his work in studying human impacts on global ecosystems and fisheries. He is a professor and the project leader of the Sea Around Us Project at the Institute for the Oceans and Fisheries at the University of British Columbia. In February 2023 Pauly and Ussif Rashid Sumaila were the recipients of the 2023 Tyler Prize for Environmental Achievement.
