The Apple Home app is used to control HomeKit-enabled accessories: e.g. lights,  smart TVs, thermostats, window shades, smart plugs. All these accessories can be controlled not only from your iPhone and/or iPad but also from your Apple Watch.

All accessories, scenes, and rooms that you setup on the iPhone/iPad are also available on your Apple Watch.

Control of smart home cinema accessories such as lights, plugs, TVs, projectors, shades, from your Apple watch rather than from iPhone/iPad has an obvious advantage. The watch is always on your wrist. You don’t have to look for it on the couch, the side table or among the pillows when lost in a dark room.
